It is based on CS series, but use MONO-TUBE INVERTED Damper in the Front or Rear of vehicles that use McPherson strut. Although it can be used for Street use purpose, but Inverted Damper have some good advantages that make it ideal for Race use purpose as well.
Standard setup is for Street use purpose and come standard with Rubber Top Mount at Front and Rear. If for Race use purpose, Front or Rear can upgrade to Pillowball top mount (Front with Camber plate if applicable) at EXTRA Cost. On vehicles that ONLY Front with Inverted struts, rear are provided with CS Series in Normal Strut design or Sustech Up-Side Down design depend on vehicle application.

Advantage of Inverted Damper: Inverted Dampers are useful in decreasing unsprung weight by moving the greatest mass of strut to the top where it connects to the sprung weight of chassis, where weight can be more easily shaved. The Inverted Dampers use a much larger inverted piston shaft that can handle higher lateral loads for longer periods of time without fatigue. Therefore Inverted Dampers are ideal for racing use as well. [Please NOTE, the higher lateral loads are ONLY prevalent on McPherson strut suspension, NOT on Double Wishbone (A-Arm) suspension.]
However, the Inverted Damper require servicing and re-apply grease after certain period of time. It is NORMAL for Inverted Damper to have noise generate from damper after some months of constant usage (this happen to all other suspension brands as well). It does NOT mean the damper is defected or lost it's performance. It just require servicing, which will need to strip out the outer and inner damper cartridge, clean the old grease, then re-apply new grease between outer and inner damper cartridge. With proper servicing, the noise will be gone. As the noise do NOT mean the suspension defect or lost function, therefore it is NOT covered by Warranty.

[Please NOTE, it is NORMAL that Pillowball Top Mount may have some rattling sound when driving. This does NOT affect performance of suspension. The warranty do NOT cover for Pillowball noise.]
Top Spring Bearing Cap - under Pillowball top mount to eliminate spring noise caused by cornering. This design enables spring and shock to perform together more effectively.
Friction Wave Washer - For MacPherson strut, Friction Wave Washer is installed between lower locking collar and bottom mount. Preventing lower locking collar become loose and lower bracket from spinning.
Rear Sustech Upside-Down Strut for selective vehicle models - Newly improved rear damping force adjustment method for vehicle models that previously cannot adjust rear damping by conventional design.
For some vehicle models, the chassis area on top of rear suspension strut is sealed with no holes. For conventional design, the damping cannot be adjusted without shock removal, or drill holes on chassis, which cause serious inconvenience.
With Sustech Upside-Down design, these models can adjust damping force VERY EASILY now.
